Come in, get comfortable—you are welcome here! My primary aim in working with you is to create a warm and collaborative space where you’re invited to come as you are. Together, we will explore your values and the characteristics of your authentic self, and consider how you can bring these more fully into all areas of your life. I utilize a relational approach to therapy that is both compassionate and challenging. This means I deeply value the connection between us, and will also help push you at times to see patterns that limit your thriving, impact your relationships, and keep you from being fully present and engaged in your life.
My therapeutic style will help you explore your past history and relationships as we seek to identify core beliefs that influence your sense of self and how you move through the world in the present. We will also work to build emotional awareness and regulation skills, engaging with difficult emotions while grounding you in the present using mindfulness practices that engage the mind and the body.
My clients’ identities and life experiences are multifaceted and complex—I value your unique story and point of view. I am dedicated to providing antiracist and culturally-affirming therapy, recognizing the many strengths to be found in positive cultural identity, as well as the impacts of oppression and marginalization on clients’ life experiences. I offer a therapeutic relationship where you are fully seen and embraced.
